I know… I should wait and post this in a few weeks, but I am so loving the colors for fall 2012 I had to share!

My favorites, which will be a surprise to no one, are Pink Flambé, Ultramarine Green, Olympian Blue and Rose Smoke. I can also dig Titanium, especially with Rose Smoke. As a matter of fact, I may have just purchased a lovely scarf with those very colors.

What fun looks would you pull together with these hues?

What colors would you blend together?

Fashion aside, you could also do some fun things with these colors in your home decor. If you have neutral furniture, toss in a few throw pillows with pops of these colors. French Roast and Honey Gold definitely speak of fall. Titanium would pair well with most any of the colors. You could go for a Titanium and Olympic Blue blend for a more masculine feel or Titanium with Pink Flambé, Rose Smoke or Rhapsody for a decidedly feminine look.

Have fun adding in a few of this season’s trendy colors and see how much fun you can have!

I was scanning through Pinterest the other day and a dress pin caught my eye.

It reminded me of the dress Mary Poppins wore when she and Bert and the kids spent a day in the country side.

Remember it?

The first time I saw this frothy white confection with the red accents and the fantastic red waist, I wanted it. I longed for it. I dreamed about it. I wanted the entire outfit, minus the parasol. It seemed trifling in comparison to this wonderful amazing dress.

Not long after my obsession for Mary’s dress calmed down, I saw Gone with the Wind for the first time. Oh, how I wanted to have Scarlett’s wardrobe. But more than anything, I wanted one dress in particular.

This beauty. It may have been because of the color. Maybe because her waist looked so tiny and perfect in it and at that time mine was a whopping 19 1/2 inches. Maybe because she was sassy and determined and I wanted to be like her.

Whatever the reason, I wanted this dress with a longing that went beyond description.

There have been many dress obsessions since the days of my teen years when all this longing began. Like the ice-blue Jessica McClintock dress I wanted my junior year. I tried it on multiple times, begged and pleaded with my mother why I needed a $200 dress to wear once and finally resigned myself to the fact that some girl luckier than me would be enjoying the beautiful creation.

My senior year, I fell in love with a mermaid style dress that was quite similar, in fact, to the bombshell design Rosemary Clooney wore in White Christmas.

She looked amazing. I loved every single thing about this dress from the dramatic neckline to fun mermaid skirt.

And who wouldn’t want to be dressed in Rose’s wardrobe from Titanic.

I’ve always wanted a hat that could take somebody out from three-feet away.

Seriously, though, I love the look and style of this era. It probably stems from my fascination with the girl of Charles Dana Gibson’s drawings.

The women looked so feminine, lovely, alluring. Their clothes – they intrigue me so.

Just like leg ‘o mutton sleeves.

I’m so fascinated by them, in fact, I altered my wedding dress pattern to include the poufy design.

I keep thinking I’ll get over my obsession with beautiful clothes. So far, it hasn’t happened.

I still haven’t fully recovered from wanting Rosemary’s dress. Maybe someday, with enough Spanx, it will happen.

Social Media is going to be the cause of my demise.

First it was Facebook and Twitter followed by LinkedIn.

Then I gut sucked into Pinterest and thought I might never get out alive.

Now I’m really in trouble. Big trouble.

I found Polyvore.

For those of you who like to be creative, have a penchant for fashion or like home decor, you are going to love (LOVE) this site. You can drag and drop clothing, backdrops, furniture, just about everything and anything you can imagine onto a “blank” canvas and create outfits, rooms, all kinds of fabulous and marvelous things.

I’m officially a goner.

I’ve only been playing on it since last weekend, but it is so much fun.

You can do stuff like this:

So you pick out the fashion pieces you like, arrange them however you want, add whatever accents tickle your fancy and then you can share it with others. Being someone who likes clothes and creativity, I can’t begin to tell you how this entertains me so.

Although I have only spent a few minutes being crazy with the home decor stuff, it looks like it could be a time-consuming wonderment, too.

I agree the pink room is a little much, but it was fun to put together.

Years ago I did some serious damage to my foot that resulted in some really painful spells of arthritis.

Due to that fact, I got rid of all my cute shoes and soon found my closet full of things like this:

Blah, bleck, boring – but they were comfortable.

Then one day, I woke up and realized I was tired of blah, bleck, boring shoes and went skipping down an entirely new path.

I’m so glad I did!

And, according to Captain Cavedweller, I’ve become a cute-shoe addict.

I can’t help it. Like chocolate, I spent too many years without any!

So the other day, I was quickly flipping through a website and these screamed out to me.

I couldn’t ignore their pleading for me to own them, so I thought about it for approximately 16.5 seconds before I bought them. They are so cute, so fun and I absolutely love them. I got them from Modcloth.com

Even CC agreed they were pretty cute shoes – for an up and coming shoe addict.

I arrived home last night to find this box waiting for me.

This beautiful, wonderful box that held the most fabulous treasure inside…

I couldn’t take it anymore and finally ordered the cowboy boots I have been drooling over for months.

Yes  – they are pink… bold, bodacious, beautiful pink!

And here is one of the reasons I chose these boots… they are handcrafted right here in the good ol’ USA!

And I loved the color…

And the detail. Look at the detail!

I wasn’t sure about the square toe – but boy are these boots comfy. The leather is super soft.

I think I’m in love…

These boots are part of Justin Boot’s Women’s Punchy line.

The other day, Captain Cavedweller and I drove to the city so he could get some new boots for work.  While he tried on stuff that was not so fun, I spent my time drooling over the boots in the women’s section.

Apparently, I have become a bit obsessed with cowboy boots.

It started with this pair of Justin Boots.

Which then moved on to this pair of Justin Punchy Boots. (I still want these, badly).

Then I saw this pair while we were shopping the other day. They are from Roper and felt so comfortable. I loved the contrast and textures!

Then this pair from Twisted X Boots caught my eye. The stitching around the top of the boot speaks to me, quite loudly in fact.

This pair from Macie Bean, called I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, did me in. I really, really want these.

I don’t think my psyche can handle any more trips with Captain Cavedweller for him to get work boots. Nope, just  can’t do it.

It all started a week before my birthday when a wonderful, sweet friend gave me a new purse.

Not just any purse, mind you, but a Miche Bag.

I’ll admit, I have avoided getting into the whole Miche Bag craze because I didn’t like the size of any of their handbags. Some were too small, others were too big. Then they came out with the perfect size-  the Demi Shell.

For those of you who have not yet been sucked in to the vortex of purse buying madness, here is how this works: Miche created a basic liner that is magnetically held inside a shell. For the fashion forward, this is fantastic because instead of changing purses and finding yourself in line at the grocery store without your wallet which is in your other purse, you just change out the outside shell and never have to worry about leaving something important behind.

Miche Bags come in a variety of sizes with handle and liner options and accessories.

So many, in fact, it can be mind boggling.

I was a bit skeptical at first, when my friend gave me this wonderful black handbag. I’m kind of picky when it comes to the purse I carry, but I loved it immediately. So much in fact,  before another week had passed, I was the owner of this shell.

It is a beautiful, shiny candy-apple red that I proudly carried through the entire holiday season. Evidently, I can be blamed for the madness spreading because when we went to visit family before Christmas my 79-year-old fashionista auntie was so taken with it, my uncle got her a demi bag with two shells for Christmas.

Yep, the addiction spreads like a disease.

For Christmas, my wonderful friend who started all this, gave me another shell.

A simple, silvery shell that I have discovered goes with everything. Literally, everything.

Then, as a final nail in my coffin, the shop manager where I drool over shells came to see me with a new spring shell.

I’ll be picking this one up later today…

Houston, we have most definitely got a problem.
