A year ago I took a great class on social media and part of our homework was to start a blog. So today I am celebrating the one-year anniversary of my Entertaining Made Simple blog.
I appreciate everyone who has offered encouragement, ideas and support!

A sparkling personality is more meaningful to guests than a sparkling floor. ‘-)
When friends ask if they can bring something…let them. They wouldn’t ask if they didn’t want to and that is one less thing you have to worry about.
Don’t stress the little things, they are coming to see you!! Make sure you are not so busy in the kitchen that they never get to see you! Simple is better so you get to enjoy your party too!
KEEP IT SIMPLE! Pick one theme and stick without throughout…even if it’s basic. The more basic, the better!
Oops! Typo…I meant “stick with it throughout”. Sorry!
Remember that when the doorbell rings the Party begins!! SO RELAX! If your guests didn’t want to be there they would not have come.
I always make sure I have a great smelling candle burning!! Nothing is more inviting than a warm cinnamon scent!
Focus on the fun you’re going to have when you have people over, not how perfect everything is!
Some of my favorite times have been having a good conversation with good friends over a good glass of wine!

The car is a great place to hide clutter while entertaining. Stack it up and stick it in the trunk.

I love your blog and check in periodically so I can get great tips to impress my friends! I honestly don’t take the credit… I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night!
I guess I missed the point. (smile sadly!) I was supposed to give an entertaining tip………….Presentation, presentation, presentation……….. You can take the most simple recipe and guests will think it outstanding if it is presented uniquely and beautifully.

Hi Shanna, here are the two easiest/orettiest entertaining tips I can think of:
1. Serve chips and salsa in the Gramercy Chip and Dip Set
2. Serve ice tea in the Gramercy Beverage Serving Set.
I love the products you sell! I use the Polka Dot Bowls, Gramercy Mugs, Tuscan Tumblers and Napa Cookbook holder for almost every meal. They are durable, beautiful and useful. The other items I have from you are also much loved and used.
