Yeesterday I wrote about January being National Hot Tea Month.

Wouldn’t you know it, I went home to find an issue of Tea Time Magazine in my mail. Somehow I completely forgot I recently subscribed to the magazine.

Sitting down for a few minutes, I flipped through the magazine and I have to tell you, from what I’ve seen, it is a true little gem.

In addition to beautiful photography and interesting articles, there are also some mouth-watering recipes. They even have a menu with “tea pairings” by the “tea sommelier.” How snooty and uptown does that sound?

If you love tea, you definitely want to take a look at the magazine. Start by checking out the website.

Enjoy!

Freshly grated nutmeg. A divine experience for both nose and tastebuds.

Have you ever wondered how to use certain spices or creative ways to use spice?

I wonder all the time.

I ponder it.

I think about it when I should be sleeping at night.

My friend, Denis, over at Gypsy World Spice Cafe is the queen 0f spices. She does magical, wonderful things with spices that I could never think of.

I encourage you to go visit her website, drool over some of her recipes and learn from her spice-wisdom.

Go on, check it out!

I love apples. Really, I do.

If I had to eat one every day for the rest of forever, I’d be okay with that.

My current favorite apple is the Honeycrisp variety. If you haven’t tried one yet, you must rush to the nearest grocery store and get one. They are so, so good.

Crisp, juicy, sweet, tart – everything a perfect apple should be. Large and wearing a beautiful rosy blush, these apples are just the cat’s pajamas.

I made a pie with them this weekend and it turned out deliciously wonderful. We eat them plain, with caramel sauce, slathered in peanut butter, sprinkled with cinnamon, sautéed and baked.

Honest-to-goodness this is one fantastic apple.

You’ve got to try one.
